The weekend games are the final round of a
hectic fixture schedule of 3 games in 10 days.
Expect more drama and passion as teams look to strengthen their league
positions.
The first game of the weekend is a London
derby between West ham and Chelsea. The hammers lost mid week at United to a
wonder strike from Robin Van Persie. Chelsea
played out a boring goalless draw against Fulham on Wednesday, are
winless in 6 league games and have failed to score in their last two games
managing a mere 4 shots on goal in both games. Manager Rafa Benitez said
everyone was disappointed with the result against Fulham and insisted that
Chelsea can still win the title.
Arsenal plays Swansea who defeated surprise
team of the season West Brom 3-1 last time out.
Arsenal will want to get a win as they have only managed 2 points from a
possible 6.
Harry will take charge of his first home
game for QPR against Aston Villa with a first league victory on his mind as he
aims to save them from the drop.
League leaders Man United will take on
Reading at the Madjeski Stadium and it is difficult to see how Reading can get anything out of this game.
Liverpool takes on Southampton at Anifield
and will want to get back to winning ways after suffering a first defeat in 8
matches against Tottenham.
The big game of the weekend is between
champions Man City and Everton. The blue
half of Merseyside has already beat Man United this season and gave Arsenal a
real scare on Wednesday. Manager David Moyes has said this is his best Everton
team. City hasn’t been quite the high fliers they were last season but have
shown the stuff of champions by grinding out results.
